Generation Life has pleasingly reported outstanding growth in 2024 reaching $3.8 billion in funds under management (FUM). A key contributor to this were its investment bond sales which saw record growth and led to 59 per cent market share of investment bond inflows in the 2024 September quarter. Grant Hackett OAM, Group Chief Executive Officer at Generation Development Group (ASX:GDG) says, “Brand recognition has grown and the number of financial advisers seeking a tax effective investment product as an alternative to other tax structures and as an estate planning tool, for their clients, has increased.” Investment bond sales momentum within Generation Life has remained high throughout the start of 2025, demonstrating the growing need for their highly tax effective investment solutions outside super. Generation Development Group’s recent acquisition of Evidentia Group means it’s now a highly diversified financial services group, growing very fast in all key areas. "The value of advice is clear and the solution is you" says Grant Hackett OAM, Chief Executive Officer at Generation Development Group. Generation Life’s recent Not Tomorrow’s Problem research revealed that 2 in 3 Australians who currently receive financial advice are happy with their financial situation and they’re almost twice as likely to be happy with their situation compared to those who don’t. Advised Australians also have a better understanding of financial themes and policies that may affect them. There is no denying the immense value of financial advice and over the next decade, it’s likely financial advisers will become even more important in building client wealth, but to appeal to more Australians it’s important for them to demonstrate value and build trust. We’re thrilled to announce our parent company Generation Development Group (ASX:GDG) is set to acquire Evidentia Group (Evidentia), Australia’s leading provider of investment management and tailored managed account solutions. GDG’s strategic acquisition strengthens the position of GDG and Evidentia in the rapidly growing managed accounts market. We’re excited to join in welcoming Evidentia Group to GDG and can’t wait to continue contributing to the greater success of the new GDG.
We’re thrilled to announce that Generation Development Group (GDG) has entered into a binding agreement to acquire 100% of Evidentia Group (Evidentia), a leading provider of investment management and tailored managed account solutions. The acquisition marks a significant milestone and is a natural progression of GDG's growth strategy, being a complementary fit with its existing Lonsec Investment Solutions. This move strengthens our position in the rapidly growing managed accounts market. Grant Hackett OAM, Chief Executive Officer of GDG, said: “Both Evidentia and Lonsec Investment Solutions have been among the fastest-growing businesses in the financial services industry, and together, they will create a clear and undisputed market leader in the rapidly growing managed accounts sector.” By bringing together two of the leading and fastest-growing managed account providers, Evidentia and Lonsec Investment Solutions will result in a combined total of over $25 billion in funds under management (FUM). Through merging their collective strengths, GDG will provide an unrivalled end-to-end investment management and managed account solutions for licensees, financial advisers, and their clients. The newly formed businesses will be branded as Evidentia Group. We’re excited for the new opportunities ahead as we embark on this new chapter at GDG. You can read more about the acquisition of Evidentia and new leadership appointments in the full press release below.
