Updates

  • We are observing notable trends within the private credit landscape, is the industry experiencing a 'flight to experienced professional management?' March proved to be a significant period for our Private Credit team at iPartners, marked by several key developments: - We experienced a substantial increase in new investor inflows, reflecting a continued interest in our private credit strategies. - The iPartners Credit Investment Fund reached its 5-year track record milestone, a testament to the team's diligent efforts and consistency. - Our private credit warehouse closed fully subscribed, indicating strong market confidence. - We were pleased to have our investment grade rating reaffirmed by an independent researcher. We were particularly appreciative of the recognition from a respected research house who described iPartners as, "a very impressive and professional house, one of the stand out managers in the private credit space." We remain focused on our commitment to delivering well considered private credit opportunities. #PrivateCredit #Investment #Finance #iPartners #AlternativeInvestments #FinancialMarkets

  • Just wrapped up an incredibly productive iPartners offsite in Wollongong! It was fantastic to connect with the team, deep dive into our strategy and growth plans, reinforced our company values and strengthen our bonds through team-building activities and some friendly competition in tennis, lawn bowls and golf. Jay Pottenger's presentation on the '5 Pillars of Performance' from EQ Minds gave us practical tools to optimise our performance and cultivate greater mental resilience. Key takeaways included valuable insights from sessions led by Travis Miller, Justin Harsel, Daniel Steen, Alex Thompson, Chris Reade, Angela Holdaway Toby Harpham, and Pankaj Makhija. A big thank you to everyone who made it such a success! #iPartners #Offsite #Wollongong #Teamwork #Strategy #Growth

The Australian Budget After two successive Budget surpluses, deficits re-appeared in 2024/25. The projections show deficits running in a 1-1½% of GDP band all the way out to 2029/30. Parameter & other variations – or “the economy” – were set to improve the bottom line by $27bn. Nearly all of this improvement ($26bn) is handed back through policy initiatives. The main “surprise” was some income tax cuts. The main “disappointments” relate to using windfall gains to fund spending promises. Attempts at fiscal consolidation have been abandoned, at least this side of the election. The Budget parameters show an improving economy. A turnaround story is a good one to sell during an election campaign. But the projected turnaround is over reliant on consumer spending and dwelling investment. The next Election marks a significant generational shift. Gen Z + Millennials will be the dominate demographic group for the first time. The RBA maintains a dignified silence on fiscal policy.  But they will be very carefully assessing what the Budget means for the economy and inflation. Bottom line: the RBA may prefer to wait for greater clarity on how inflation risks are evolving. Look for rate cuts in the second half of 2025. Read on! iPartners Credit Investment Fund - Celebrating 5 Years Five years ago, iPartners launched our Credit Investment Fund with the goal of providing wholesale investors with diversified, "set and forget" access to institutional-grade alternative assets. Today, we're proud to celebrate this milestone. A $100,000 investment made in March 2020 has grown to $158,854 by January 31, 2025 (with distributions reinvested). When compared to investors in the Australian ASX 300 Accumulation index, they experienced significant price fluctuations over the same 5 year period, for almost identical returns. Thank you to our investors for their trust over the past 5 years, we look forward to the next 5 years.
